Hair Like the Sun – Tell all your friends that live in Houston that a Midpen-related theatrical production has its premier in at the Texas Repertory Theatre in Houston on March 17.  Doug has been involved (along with Charlie Class, an MC studio producer) for the past 3+ years in the production of athis play about the Japanese/American Internment Camps in WWII.  The play has now been cast, and it is to have its World Premier at the Texas Repertory Theater in Houston next month!   • For the 3rd Year in A Row – Docs in Progress is coming to the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival to run Peer Pitch West.  This is an all day affair 10-4 pm, Friday, March 28.  This event gets rave reviews and is a great way to learn more about documetary filmmaking.  Sometimes a posse of Zoomers mounts up and drives up together for the day.  Interested in going?  Let’s connect.
  • Cinequest, our own world class film festival, runs from March 1-13 in San Jose.  Opening night gala features Helen Mirren and the late Alan Rickman in Eye in the Sky.  Midpen is a sponsor of the youth program, Picture the Possibilities.
  • Thank you Toni Gooch for joining me in covering the Youth Community Service annual luncheon at Mitchell Park.
